I first heard (Okay eavesdropped upon) this dazzling dynomatic diva singing live at a rehearsal before actually laying eyes upon her. The mellifluous yet powerfully exuberant "in command" vocal I was hearing did not compute and was in direct contrast with the petite, unpretentious yet oh so sassy ultra classy damsel I was eventually introduced to.

After helplessly falling victim to soft brown mischievous bedroom eyes and super nova smile 'revealing' a most gracious demeanor, I was compelled to purchase the recently released "Revealed" CD. So very impressed by this way cool album, I instantly became a 'major huge' fan and groupie wannabe with possible stalker tendencies. Yikes. *awkward pause* She might read this. Anyhue

Revealed is an outstanding debut record packed with gritty, no nonsense rock and roll tunage with just the right amount of 'Balladity'. (I enjoy making up cool new words) Anyway, combine that with a riviting showcase performance and it Solidifies Ms. Cenci as my numero ono 'top of the heap' favorite OC female artist and songwriter.

Not only does she successfully manage to capture her vocalistic energy amidst oh so cheeky clever cut to the chase lyrics, the musicianship and production quaility are top notch, indeed. It's apparent that all the tunes were passionately written and produced with a zealous conviction where compromise was not in the equation.

I find that most debut albums with ten or more songs normally deliver one or two standouts, and that's great! Rosanna Cenci's Revealed, however, would epitomize the antithesis of that vinylistic commonality!

Personally, IMHO the overall majority of songs could all be standouts! Could I choose a personal favorite? Definitely not. Alas, if I had to pick four contenders to be in the running for a personal favorite? Who Am I -- Get Me So Good -- Windows -- Voice Inside My Head -- in no particular order.

If this album hits the mainstream (and it definitely should) another standout tune - Under Cover Woman - could dethrone "I Will Survive" as the international chicks 'unite, conquer and overcome' theme song. When they played it live I watched as all the sisters in the house initiated some sort of unanimous hormonal eruption. As they all commenced a groovin' and a shakin' you could feel the feministic camaraderie kinna vibe that permeated throughout the club.

It Was The Coolest Thing Since Sliced Bread, I Tell Ya!

Speaking of Which I had the most fortunate opportunity of watching this hotter then habenera hottie via a live perfromance. *Happy Dance* Not only did I have the extreme pleasure of hearing this half pint jalapeno belting out monster size vocals live and in living color, I got to visually witness the explosive intensity of magnetic energy and charismatic cha cha charm that embodies The Rosanna Cenci Band. To see this ultra groovy band perform is to be part of something special. Rosanna's band leader, who happens to be one of my favorite Bass players in the whole entire galaxy, is the most dedicated, hardest working music producer in the entire universe. (I realize that sediment sounds cheesely cliche but in this case it's actually true) His remarkable musical and engineering talent is only matched by his equally keen gift of spirit.

To Summarize -- Make no mistake! When the lengendary infamous Michael "MRockin" Rodriguez, founder and proprietor of the OC's MRockin' Records/Production Studio hits the stage with his amazing grace along side Rosanna "dynamite comes in small packages" Cenci, we're treated to a melodic mozaic of song amidst indubitable electro magnetic pulsating waves of sound delivered with a life positive infectous energy that will have you jammin' right along side the band.
